So truly sorry to hear that this happened, Pam & Matt! I take claims like this quite frequently at my job, so I can sympathize with your situation. If you haven’t already done so, you might want to consider contacting an emergency restoration company (using the phone book) to come out and at least supply you with dehumidifiers (large fans) in the rooms that are affected. Even if the standing water has been cleaned up, you will want to reduce the moisture in the air as much as possible so that your walls & floors don’t develop mold/mildew. I don’t know if you’ve already taken steps to do that, but just thought I’d offer my 2 cents worth of advice. I will pray for God to help you all out in this situation!

I’m so sorry – Bruce called me to say I needed to see your blog right away – I see my grandsons are playing in alligator water… what fun kids can have in case of emergency. I almost called when I heard about the storm. I figured the rain missed you, or someone would have let me know. I guess that is what you are doing now, huh? I sure hope your home comes out ok quickly. What a mess. Good to hear no one was hurt, but the house though, pesky rain. Sending hugs to everyone.
