The boys have been BEGGING us for a vacation for months. We finally decided that we needed to do something that was cheap and fairly close to home before school starts in August. So we settled on a return visit to the Everglades.

We visited the Miami Metrozoo while we were there. What a great zoo! It's supposedly one of the top 10 in the country.
I guess we should have brought the double stroller. Reagan slept the whole time we were at the zoo. Zach got tired and sat on the stroller while I pushed for several hours.
Until he finally gave it up.

We love the Everglades and will go back again, I'm sure. I would HIGHLY recommend you go in the winter months. FUN!!! Pam, you are one of my heroes!!! I love that you vacationed in the heat, with four kids, in one room….to a place with a million alligators!! All for memories’ sake! Also love that you never expect to get a better family pic than that!
Looks like a wonderful vacation. A friend of mine told us at work last year about her adventures from college when she was “young”, to the Everglades in July with a science class. She said don’t go there…but she never met real Floridians with spunk! It looks like you had lots of fun! You are brave to take on mosquitoes, my nemesis…
